What is CranioSacral Therapy?

GENTLE, light touch  

Extremely gentle yet profoundly effective, CST aims to restore and support the body’s inherent health and vitality. 

Respectful of the body's own healing process, CST facilitates the release of physical, emotional and energetic tensions and restrictions.  Treatments are often deeply relaxing and intensely therapeutic. 

CST can be used alone or together with other conventional, talking or complementary therapies.

How does it work? 

CST is named after the craniosacral system – the structures, membranes, and fluids that house, protect and nourish the central nervous system.

The aim of CST is to restore and enhance balance in the craniosacral and related systems. 

This process may be surprisingly quick, while more persistent patterns may take longer to release.

Can it help me?

Its gentleness makes CST suitable for everyone, from the very young to the elderly. 

Many find CST helpful, but it may not be right for everyone.

Generally, I treat clients fully clothed and lying on a massage couch. Treatment approaches can be adapted for side-lying or sitting positions, as required, and babies and young children can be treated in their carer's arms or lap.
